Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces chicken thighs or breasts Thighs are juicier than breasts.
  • 2 pieces fresh peaches Canned peaches are not suitable for this recipe.
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce Use store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For marinating the chicken.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Optional, for extra flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Optional seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes Optional for extra heat.
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional for added flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the peaches, ensuring they are not too thin to avoid them falling through the grill grates.
  • Marinate the chicken with barbecue sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Preheat the grill.

Cooking

  • Place the chicken on the grill, cooking until golden brown and fragrant.
  • Halfway through cooking the chicken, add the peach slices to the grill.
  • Brush the chicken and peaches with more barbecue sauce towards the end of the cooking time.
  • Ensure the chicken is cooked through (no pink in the middle) and serve the grilled peaches over the chicken.

Notes

Don’t wander off while grilling the peaches as they only need a few minutes to cook. If you prefer, you can use a stove-top pan but won’t achieve the same grill marks.
