  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 10 ounces Mini marshmallows Reserve a handful for mixing in last.
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter Essential for flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea salt Optional, but enhances flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat until just melted, being careful not to scorch it.
  • Add almost all the mini marshmallows (reserve a handful) to the melted butter and stir until nearly melted.
  • Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal and reserved marshmallows. Stir until fully combined.
  • Press the mixture gently into a buttered 9x13 inch pan using wax paper for help.
  • Let cool before slicing into squares.

Notes

These treats can be dressed up with toppings like melted dark chocolate, sprinkles, or shaped with cookie cutters for parties. To keep them soft, store in an airtight container, and if you want to go healthier, consider low-sugar marshmallows or dairy-free options.
