  • 2 cups Old-fashioned oats Quick oats can be used for a crumblier texture.
  • 1/2 cup Honey or maple syrup Choose based on availability.
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate chips Optional.
  • 1 pinch Salt Don't skip this for better taste.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, honey/maple syrup, and salt until smooth.
  • Stir in the oats until well combined.
  • Add chocolate chips and mix thoroughly.
  • Press the mixture into a lined baking pan using a spatula or your hands.
  • Chill in the fridge for 1-2 hours or freeze for 30 minutes until firm.
  • Once set, slice into bars and enjoy!

Notes

These bars can be stored in a container with parchment paper in the fridge for about a week or in the freezer for longer storage.
